A traffic stop turned into a car chase for Lansing Police Friday night.
LPD tried to stop a car at Larch St. near Saginaw, when it took off. A chase ended on southbound Pennsylvania Ave. at Prospect when the car crashed into a snowbank, due to high speeds and heavy traffic.
Two suspects were apprehended at the scene. Two others ran from the scene and were later caught with the help of a canine unit.
A 16-year-old female was turned over to her guardian, police say, but three other men, aged 17, 18 and 18 should be arraigned Saturday morning. They are charged with fleeing elude, possession of a stolen vehicle and resisting and obstructing arrest.
