MUSKEGON, Mich. (AP) -- Police in western Michigan say a drunk woman left a toddler outside in a rainstorm while she was inside a home.
Muskegon County Prosecutor D.J. Hilson says the 24-year-old Muskegon woman's daughter and two other children have been removed from her care.
According to a Muskegon police report, the 18-month-old girl was found by officers in the yard Tuesday "soaking wet from strong rainstorms that came through the area."
The report says the toddler was outside for at least 45 minutes and was wearing only a diaper while sitting in a stroller. She did not suffer a "permanent injury or damage."
It's not clear whether the mother of the children will face criminal charges. Hilson tells The Muskegon Chronicle (http://bit.ly/1phjqyn) the case is under investigation.
