Three Arrested In Shooting

Lansing Police have three people in custody in connection with a shooting Friday afternoon.
The police received a call about cars shooting at each other at 4:35 p.m. while traveling eastbound on Miller from Wise.
Shortly afterward, 911 operators were told of a shooting victim at a car wash in the area of Kaynorth and Miller.
Detectives saw one man trying to drive away; when they followed, he shot at the detectives, and drove off.
This led to a chase that ended on the 2000 block of Georgetown, where the man jumped from his car and ran off.
He was caught after a short chase.
Other officers were attending the shooting victim, a 21-year-old man who was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
At the scene, officers learned there were several people who ran from there.
He was caught after being trailed by a K9 unit.
In addition, several vehicles were damaged from the accused vehicles that were chasing each other.
No one was injured.
Overall, three people were arrested and are in jail.
