Third Grade Retention Vote Stalled On House Floor

LANSING (WILX)-- The physiological impact of holding back a third grader has legislators asking questions before they pass a reading retention bill. The House Bill 5111 would require third graders to get proficient or higher for the reading portion of their standardize test or be held back a year.
