A woman is recovering after she was shot while a gun was passed around at a Macomb County home on Thanksgiving.
The incident in Washington Township was one of at least two holiday shootings reported in southeastern Michigan.
The Detroit News reports that the 41-year-old woman was treated at a hospital after her sister didn't realize the gun was loaded and shot her in the arm. The homeowner was showing the gun to guests.
Elsewhere, a 47-year-old man was wounded during a gathering in Ypsilanti. A family acquaintance used a shotgun to shoot the victim as a disagreement escalated into a fight Thursday night. He was listed Friday in serious condition at a hospital.
