Teens are Dabbling in Danger

By  |

Two designer drugs have local drug counselors and police very concerned. Both are highly potent, one is deadly.

BHO, or Butane Hash Oil is a highly potent form of marijuana. It doesn’t look or smell like pot, and kids are smoking it in public using e-cigarettes. Local drug therapists say it only takes one hit for kids to get a very intense high. Some have ended up in hospital emergency rooms after using the drug.

Another drug can kill a person before they even get high. Police say Acetyl Fentanyl is an illegal synthetic opiate about 40 times more potent than heroin. Users are mixing the drugs, and the CDC is concerned there could be an outbreak of deadly overdoses across the nation.

We’re uncovering these dangerous drugs in a Special Report every parent should see. It’s called “Dabbling with Danger”, tonight on News 10 at 6.
