Blackman-Leoni Public Safety officers assisted officers from JNET while responding to a residence in Blackman Township in the late evening on Thursday, June 19.
When the officers arrived, they found an active meth lab in a garbage can in the garage that was next to the residence, along with items used in the manufacturing of meth.
As the officers investigated, they found evidence that two 16 year old juveniles and one 17 year old were involved. After a brief search in the area, officers located the three individuals around two miles away from the residence along railroad tracks in a rural area.
When the officers made contact with the individuals, they located suspected meth, and other items used for making meth.
The 17-year-old was taken into custody, and lodged in the Jackson County Jail, and the two 16-year-olds were turned over to their parents. Their cases have been turned over for review by the Jackson County Prosecutor.
