The high school student who fell six stories from an MSU dorm is getting better.

A Sparrow Hospital spokesperson tells News 10 Lexi Pew's condition has been upgraded from critical to serious.

The 18-year-old from Ann Arbor was visiting friends when the accident happened early Sunday morning. Police tell us she was playing catch with friends in the sixth-floor study lounge at North Case Hall when she fell backwards through the window.

The university plans on inspecting all dorm windows by the end of summer.
