Death of MSU Student Found on Interstate 69 Being Investigated as Homicide

By  |

An Owosso teen was found Saturday night, lying in the roadway on Interstate 69 at the East Lansing exit.

Police say 19-year-old Dustyn Louis Frolka was in "respiratory distress" when they arrived on the scene.

Frolka's body was partially clothed. It was reported at 10:23 p.m.

A passing motorist, who happened to be a nurse, stopped to give first aid until EMS arrived. Frolka was taken to a Lansing hospital where he was pronounced dead.

MSU's Student Directory lists Frolka as a Sophomore who was studying Marketing.

Bath Township police say they're treating Frolka's death as a homicide until detectives learn otherwise.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Sgt. Gary Smith at the Bath Township Police Department at (517) 641-6271 or
