We will get an update on a teenager facing a possible life sentence for murder Tuesday.

Ingham County Judge George Economy will hold a status hearing for Charles Lewis, Jr.

Lewis was 13 years old when he was involved in the murder of Shayla Johnson. His father pulled the trigger.

Judge Economy sent the teenager to the Maxey Boys Training School until he's 18, at which point Lewis will be re-sentenced.

Lewis has a long criminal record.

At his last hearing, his social worker testified he's had a few problems at Maxey, but is making progress.

We'll have updates Tuesday on News 10 and WILX.com.
