DETROIT (AP) -- A Detroit teen faces a court hearing in the mob attack on a suburban motorist who stopped to help a child struck by his pickup truck.
The hearing is scheduled Saturday morning in the Wayne County Juvenile Detention Center.
The 16-year-old is charged with assault and ethnic intimidation. Four men -- ages 17 to 30 -- were arraigned on attempted murder and assault charges.
Police were investigating if the April 2 attack on Steve Utash was racially motivated. Utash of Clinton Township is white. His attackers are black.
Utash was beaten by at least six people when he checked on 10-year-old David Harris who stepped into the path of his truck on the city's east side.
Utash remains in critical condition. Harris was treated for a leg and other injuries.
