A warning this morning from the IRS about past-due tax scams.
The federal government says scammers are calling people, and telling them they filed their taxes wrong-- and must pay the government what they owe immediately, or risk arrest.
The IRS has tracked more than 60-thousand of these calls across the country since October, and say scammers have collected more than four million dollars.
The IRS says before it ever contacts you by phone, it sends multiple notices in the mail and agents never threaten to arrest people.
If you get such a call, and suspect its a scam, hang up.
