Target is leaving the door open a little later in an effort to also win back customers.
The retailer announcing it's going to extend operating hours in more than half of its U.S. stores.
Instead of closing at 10 pm during the week and Saturdays, Target will remain open until 11 pm or midnight.
On Sundays, hours will be extended until 10 pm or 11 in an effort to grab customers who don't shop until after dark.
The new hours start this month, and will continue through the holidays, after which they will be evaluated.
