SUMMIT TWP. JACKSON CO. - Authorities in Jackson County say a suspicious death in Summit Township is now considered a murder. Sheriff Steve Rand tells News 10 Tuesday that Frances Marie Craig, 28, was killed, but he is not saying how she died, while they continue to investigate her murder.

No arrest has been made. The sheriff urges that investigators do not believe this to be a random act.

On Sunday morning, the sheriff's office received a call from a man who said his girlfriend, Craig, was found dead in a house they shared in the 5200 block of Timbercrest Trail.

Stay with and watch News 10 for future developments in this investigation.
