Suspected Killer of MSU Student Facing Formal Charges

(East Lansing) Police say a suspect in the January shooting death of a 20-year-old Michigan State University student is to be charged and arraigned. He is

East Lansing police say Marquay McCoy is to appear for a video arraignment Thursday in the city's district court.

According to police, the McCoy is being charged in connection with the Jan. 31 fatal shooting of Dominique Nolff of Middleville.

Nolff was shot multiple times at the Cedar Village apartment complex in East Lansing and died at a hospital. His 20-year-old roommate from Grand Haven also was shot. He was treated at the hospital and released.

Police have said the shooting didn't appear to be random.
