12 students were hospitalized briefly Friday morning.

The accident happened on 1958 Bob Bullock Loop.

Police say a school bus crashed on an icy western Michigan road and tipped over, leaving several students with what were described as non-life threatening injuries.
State police say in a statement that troopers were dispatched to Montcalm County's Fairplain Township, about 25 miles northeast of Grand Rapids, around 6:45 a.m. Friday for the crash involving a Greenville Public Schools bus.
Police say they believe the driver lost control of the bus, which came to rest on its side blocking the entire road. No other vehicles were involved.
Greenville school officials say 15-20 students were on the bus at the time, and about a dozen were evaluated at hospitals. Police say students were treated at the scene for minor injuries and five were admitted to a hospital for further treatment.
