Jackson County Sheriff's investigators suspect a student wrote a threat on the bathroom wall in the Hanover Horton Middle School Friday afternoon.

Deputies were called to the school when the threat was discovered and the school activated its safety procedure plan. The deputies and school personnel searched the building, but didn't find anything threatening.

School video surveillance tape was instrumental in identifying a suspect. After questioning the boy, it was determined that the threat was not credible.

As a precaution, a bomb detecting dog from the Michigan State Police was brought in to check the building.

The investigation is continuing and Jackson County Sheriff Steve Rand says it could lead to charges against the student.
