What would you do if you got a higher bill from your auto insurance company because you put in a claim for pothole damage?
One state lawmaker introduced a bill this week to make sure that doesn't happen. Democrat Marilyn Lane crafted the legislation after a colleague told her his rates went up when he submitted a claim for damage caused by a pothole.
The bill now heads to the House Committee on Insurance for review.
