Novi, MI - The Michigan State Fair is back this weekend - kicking off Friday in Novi.
The revived fair features old and new attractions this year, after being shut down five years ago after funding for it was cut from the budget.
The owner of the "Suburban Collection Showplace" in Novi stepped up, and the fair is now privately run. Attendance this weekend is expected to reach 100,000 people.
The fair features midway rides, exhibits and a talent contest.
If you plan to check out the fair, the Suburban Collection Showplace is located on Grand River in Novi. It runs from 10 a.m. through 10 p.m. Friday through Sunday, and 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Labor Day.
