LANSING (WILX)-- The Michigan Department of Education publicly released the state's new Accountability Scorecard; and Top and Bottom rankings for all schools.

The scorecard is now color-coded. Green is the best score a school can get. A school can be scored Green, Yellow, Orange, or Red. Red is the worst rating.

Parents can view school district and building rankings to find out how their school did.

But the scorecard can be confusing, one school might have a better percentage rating but still be put in the red category.

News Ten's Alyssa Fenske will have the details about the new accountability system tonight at 5 pm.
