Stabbing Suspect Drives Her Victim to the Hospital as Deputies Pursue

JACKSON CO. - A woman is accused of stabbing her boyfriend in the back then refusing to stop for police, as she drove her boyfriend to the hospital. At about 12:40 a.m. Wednesday deputies with the Jackson County Sheriff's office were called to a home in the 2000 block of West Court Street in Parma for a report of a stabbing.

The Jackson County Sheriff's office reports that as deputies were responding to the call, 911 Dispatchers relayed information that the suspect had left in a car east on Michigan Avenue. Deputies observed the the woman and attempted to stop the car near Michigan Avenue and Robinson Street, just west of Jackson. Deputies continued pursuit until it ended in the parking lot of Allegiance Health.

The woman, a 22-year-old from Parma, was arrested without further incident.

Deputies say her boyfriend, a 35-year-old, had been stabbed in the back with a knife. He was hospitalized with a non-life-threatening injury.

The woman is expected t be charged with felonious assault and fleeing and eluding the police.
