Volunteers converge on downtown Lansing to plant thousands of flowers.

The sun is shining and the flowers are blooming.

Rain or shine, thousands of flowers are going to be planted in front of the State Capitol today.
It's an annual Spring tradition now in its 21st year.
Dozens of volunteers will help plant about 17-thousand donated plants.
They expect it will take them most of the day to get the job done.
