East Lansing (WILX) Part of the City of East Lansing's phone system has been restored.

An update late Thursday afternoon says the system is expected to be fully restored by Thursday night.

All lines to city buildings went down Wednesday morning. The cause of the outage hasn't been given, but the city says its staff continues to work with the system provider to fix the issue.

All emergency calls can still be made to 911. Non-emergency calls to the East Lansing Police Department or Parking and Code Enforcement can be made to (517) 272-6046
