Governor Rick Snyder is in Jackson to encourage state legislators to expand Medicaid in Michigan.
He met with health care professionals at Allegiance Health in Jackson to discuss the matter.
The governor has made several stops across the state to discuss his reasoning on why this is needed.
The state senate took their summer break without voting on a bill to expand this.
This made for an uncharacteristically angry response from Gov. Snyder, who urged them to "take a vote, not a vacation."
At least 320,000 Michiganders will be eligible for benefits if the expansion is approved.
We will have more on this during our evening broadcasts.
