An area of low pressure passing south of Michigan will bring snow to the area from south to north tomorrow afternoon and the snow will continues tomorrow night. The snow will be a wet snow and will pack on the roadways and make for slippery travel by late tomorrow afternoon into tomorrow night. A slow morning commute is possible Wednesday.
Snowfall totals across the area will generally be in the 3-6'' range in the Lansing and Jackson areas. Lesser amounts are expected north of M-21. The snow will gradually spread north across the area tomorrow afternoon and most areas should have 2-3'' of snow on the ground by evening. An additional 1-3'' of snow are possible Tuesday night in Lansing and 2-4'' are possible Tuesday night in the Jackson area. Snowfall Wednesday should be 1'' or less across the region.
The National Weather Service has Mid-Michigan under a Winter Weather Advisory Tuesday afternoon until early Wednesday morning.
