LANSING - There are many unanswered questions after an incident where a man was shot in Lansing Wednesday. Around noon police were called for a report of shots being fired in the area of Walnut Street and Lapeer Street, just west of Lansing Community College. When police arrived they did not see any sign of a shooting.
While investigating, a local hospital called, saying that a man came to the hospital with a gunshot wound to the leg.
Police interviewed the man, a 20-year-old from Lansing, but say the gunshot victim was not forthcoming about how he had been shot or even exactly where he had been shot. The man's injuries are not life-threatening.
Police cannot be sure just what happened, but they do not believe this was a random act.
