Shooting Suspects Due in Court Friday

The suspects in a September shooting in Lansing will find out if they'll stand trial Friday.

A preliminary hearing will be held for DaMonte Johnson, Willie James III, DeMarquisse Salaam and Javian Wright.

Johnson is 17. The other defendants are 18.

They're charged with attempted murder and other crimes for a shooting on Mary Ave. near Martin Luther King on Sept. 18.

The victim was shot in the leg.

A fifth suspect, LaDaysha Moore-Brinkley, won't be part of Friday's hearing. is happy to provide a forum for commenting and discussion. Please respect and abide by the house rules:
