The Ingham County Sheriff's Office has launched a smartphone app that will help them better communicate with the community.

MobilePatrol allows people to see who has been arrested and being held in the County Jail; as well a view a list of Crime Stoppers most wanted persons. The public can also report a crime and even share information from the Sheriff's Office directly to their Facebook page.
The public is able to instantly receive emergency notifications such as Amber Alerts and weather warnings.

"This app will improve our communication with the community," said Sheriff Gene Wriggelsworth. "We're able to share important information such as Amber Alerts or crime notifications, and deliver it right to people's fingertips. It's a revolutionary way to help us serve the public better."

In order to get this free app, which is available for both Android and iPhone devices, users can search "MobilePatrol" through their app store. Users just download MobilePatrol on their device and then select the Ingham County Sheriff's App to download to their phone or tablet.

The Eaton County Sheriff's Office and Jackson County Sheriff's Office also use the MobilePatrol App.
