NRA-backed bills now headed to state House.

Three bills making gun ownership records confidential have passed in the state Senate. They'd make it so only police can pull the records and only when the owner is suspected of a crime, the gun in question is used in a crime or when someone's life is in danger. Records would no longer be subject to the Freedom of Information Act. We'll let you know when the House votes. is happy to provide a forum for commenting and discussion.
