Senator Carl Levin has been announced as the speaker for Adrian College's Spring Commencement Ceremony in May.
Michigan's longest running senator, who announced he won't seek re-election in 2014 Thursday, will also receive an honorary degree recognizing his accomplishments.
"Senator Levin's career represents a combination of intelligence, hard work and service to others that is the hallmark of a liberal arts education," said Dr. Jeffrey R. Docking, president of Adrian College. "We are honored he will be speaking to our graduates."
The ceremony will be held on Sunday, May 5, at 3:00 p.m. at Commencement Plaza in the heart of the College's campus.
