The U.S. Air Force says it's stepped up security after the discovery of an unidentified man's body at Selfridge Air National Guard Base, northeast of Detroit.
The 127th Wing Air National Guard Wing says that state police are investigating the death and are trying to discover the identity of the man, discovered Thursday morning.
Tech. Sgt. Daniel Heaton says a military member found the body outside a building on the west side of the base in Macomb County's Harrison Township.
Heaton says the dead man was white, ages 20 to 30, about 5-feet-9-inches and slim. He says the man was wearing a red Detroit Red Wings sweatshirt, blue jeans and light-colored boots.
The discovery led to a brief base lockdown.
