The State approved a second proposal against wolf hunting for the November ballot. Last year, the group "Keep Michigan Wolves Protected" got a measure approved for the ballot, to repeal the wolf hunting law. Lawmakers sidestepped this by giving the Natural Resources Commission the power to decide what animals are on the game species list. The latest proposal was approved would undo that.
Another groups is collecting signatures with the hopes of putting a measure to protect wolf hunting on the ballot.
