UPDATE - Lansing Schools on Lock Down Given All Clear

The Lansing Police Department has given the all clear for the lock down at Gardner and Cavanaugh. The lock down was initiated due to the possibility of an armed robber in the area. 55 students were in the summer session at Gardner, and one student was in a program at Cavanaugh at the time of the lock down. Watch for updates on this story as more information becomes available.


Two schools in Lansing are on lockdown this afternoon due to concerns about an armed robbery suspect in the area.
These are the Gardner Middle School and Cavanaugh School; the Lansing School District says all children are safe and unhurt.
Details are still in question; the robbery may have happened at the Astera Credit Union
