Salvation Army, Consumers Energy Offering Heating Assistance

The cold temperatures could soon send heating bills through the roof.

The Lansing Salvation Army says it's getting the same number of heating assistance calls as usual and now has the funding to provide it.
Consumers Energy is also offering different shutoff extensions and started a new assistance program called CARE, this year.
