Plows and salt trucks out in full force this morning trying to keep up with the heavy snow that's falling right now, and it has cost a lot of Mid-Michigan communities. It's not just salt. Overtime costs, fuel and truck repairs have broken budgets. Lansing Public Service Director Chad Gamble told us he doesn't know exactly how far over budget Lansing is right now but says the city burned through its two-million dollar budget last month. Every snow storm takes money from other projects like much-needed road repairs, but right now, the focus is removing snow from the roads.
