Lansing - A line of severe weather has closed roads, cancelled events, and caused power outages in Mid- Michigan.

Cars were nearly submerged near the Potter Park Zoo; people were able to escape their vehicles.

Pennsylvania Avenue is closed. Police tell wilx.com that it will stay closed through the night.

The line of severe weather also caused the cancellation of the Spartan Spectacular at Munn field at Michigan State University.

At one point nearly 4,000 people lost power, that number fell as the afternoon progressed.

Multiple reports of accidents and flooding created a very difficult rush hour commute.

Andy Provenzano says the line of severe weather continues east at a fast speed. So far their have no reports of any injures as a result of the severe weather.
