23 restaurants presented a check for $3,482.50 to the Greater Lansing Food Bank on Monday. The money was raised during Capital Area Restaurant Week in July. Participating restaurants donated a portion of the proceeds from special three-course meals during the week. "The restaurants benefit, the people benefit with great food, and the food bank benefits, so that we can feed people. It's a great effort, another great partnership in our community," said food bank spokesman Joe Wald. The Greater Lansing Food Bank serves tens of thousands of people in several Mid-Michigan counties throughout the year.
