Refugee Students Earn Diplomas

By  |

Students from the global institute of Lansing are celebrating graduation today.

20 students earned their high school diplomas. Most of them refugees from around the world.

They weren't able to get them by the time they left high school because of their age or number of credits.

This program allowed them to finally complete a high school education.

It's an amazing accomplishment and you can see on their faces the pride they have for having done this, because they come here and so many times they have to start working right away and are not able to finish or start their education it's a great opportunity for them.

Congratulations to all the graduates.
