Potholes Creeping Up Everywhere

By  |

Temperatures bouncing above and below the freezing point are destroying Mid-Michigan's roads. Potholes are appearing in many cases, faster than crews can fill them.

Lansing says 95 percent of its potholes are filled within 24 hours of being reported.

Are people not reporting the bad potholes they see? Are the pothole call centers busy?

Tonight on WILX News Ten, we're getting answers to those questions. Plus-- has anyone whose car has been damaged by potholes been reimbursed by the city or state? Find out tonight at 6 p.m.

Also, if you want to report a pothole, cities, counties and MDOT all have pothole reporting telephone lines that work 24 hours a day seven days a week. Below are three specific numbers you can call:

MDOT 1-888-296-4546
Ingham County Roads 517-676-9722
Lansing 517-483-4161
