COLDWATER, Mich. (AP) -- Police in southern Michigan say a 4-year-old boy has apparently drowned in a backyard swimming pool.
WTVB radio and WOOD-TV report the child was pulled from the pool Tuesday night in Coldwater. He was taken to a hospital, where he later was pronounced dead.
The boy's name wasn't immediately released. Authorities say he apparently slipped into the in-ground pool, which was partially filled with water.
