Police Seek Shooting Suspect

17 were arrested on charges of attending a cockfight or cruelty to non-livestock animals.

Jackson Police are asking for help as they try to locate a suspect in an assault.
Police say a 22-year-old man had parked his car, with the keys inside, near the Stop One party store around 5:50 p.m. Wednesday.
When he came out, his vehicle was gone.
The victim spotted his car about ten minutes late near Biddle and Orchard Place.
When the victim confronted the suspect, he parked the car and began to walk away.
When the victim confronted him again, the suspect pulled out a handgun and fired one shot as the victim ran away.
He was hit in the lower back.
The victim and a friend went to a hospital; his injury was not life threatening.
Police are looking for the suspect.
He is a black male, about 17 years old, 6' 2", and skinny.
He was wearing a black Carhartt jacket, and a black skullcap.
