HARPER WOODS, Mich. (AP) -- Police in Detroit's northern suburbs are asking for the public's help in finding the killer of a restaurant owner who was shot to death during an apparent robbery in an alley behind his eatery.

Altin Avdyli's body was found late Friday night behind the Royal Grill in Harper Woods, just east of Detroit.

The 31-year-old Avdyli lived in nearby Roseville and was shot in the neck. His 2010 Chevrolet Camaro was stolen.

Police say the gray car has distinctive black racing stripes. The Michigan license plate number is CFZ-9555.

MLive.com reports that Public Safety Director Jim Burke says anyone spotting the car should call police.

Harper Police say no one was in custody Sunday and say they're seeking tips that might lead to the culprit.
