Police in Jackson County are looking for a parolee who stole a BMW from a home in Clarklake Tuesday.

Columbia Township Police say 42-year-old Scott Waters stole the BMW from a home on Grand Boulevard near the Clarklake Beach and Boat Club sometime Tuesday. The homeowner reported it stolen just after 8:30pm, after arriving home and noticed it missing.

Earlier in the day, Waters' parole agent attempted to make contact with him at his home on North Lake Drive. Waters was not there, but the agent did find the SCRAM unit (alcohol monitor) Waters had been ordered to wear lying on the counter. Witnesses at the home of Waters told police he was recently at the home, with the BMW.

Early Wednesday, police in Jackson spotted the stolen car near Jackson Street and Glick and gave chase. County units picked up the chase near Springport Road and Rives Junction Road, but Waters got away.

If you've seen Waters or the stolen car he's suspected of driving, call 911 immediately. Attached are pictures of Waters and a picture of a 2002 BMW 325ci, similar to the one stolen.
