Police Investigating Similarities of Robberies

Police in Lansing are investigating the similarities between a robbery and an attempted robbery last week.

LPD released pictures of the attempted robbery at the Wendy's on Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard from Tuesday night. A man entered the restaurant around 8:40pm and despite pointing a gun at employees and demanding money, he got away with nothing.

He was wearing a black hat and a red bandana on his face, so it's hard to recognize him.

Police believe he may be the same guy who successfully robbed the Quality Dairy on West Willow about 15 minutes later, as well as a robbery at the Speedway on South Cedar early Friday morning. If you know anything about these robberies, call Lansing Police Detective Mark Lewandowsky at 517-483-6859. Do not attempt to make contact with the suspect, as he is considered armed.
