LANSING - Police are investigating a chaotic situation in Lansing Tuesday afternoon. Several police units swarmed to the corner of Cedar Street and Holmes Road just before 4 o'clock. Police say at least one round was fired in an altercation between multiple people in the 3300 block of South Cedar Street.
Police were able to detain two people for questioning. One of those was taken to the hospital with a non-life-threatening injury.
A third person was believed to have fled from the scene. The state police helicopter was brought in as well as tracking dogs to search the area. No one was located.
Police say the parties involved are not cooperating. They continue to investigate.
This incident comes on the heels of two other shooting incidents in the city of Lansing, one on Friday on Miller Road and another Saturday on Long Boulevard.
