Police report a road rage incident involving two bicyclists, one of whom is accused of pulling a knife on the other.
Ferndale police tell The Daily Tribune of Royal Oak it happened Friday afternoon in the Detroit suburb.
Police say 69-year-old David R. Simmons of Oak Park and a 29-year-old Ferndale man were riding on Nine Mile Road when Simmons said the other man cut him off.
Police say Simmons yelled an obscenity and the younger man rode off, but later confronted Simmons on foot.
Detective John Thull says Simmons waved a pocket knife at the Ferndale man.
Simmons is free on bond on a felony assault charge. His wife Marilyn tells The Associated Press her husband's a frail heart-attack survivor and is very upset at his first ever arrest.
