Police Arrest Speedway Robbery Suspect

Lansing police arrested a man they say broke into a Speedway Store on the city's southside this morning.

Police told News 10 the suspect broke the door open with a rock just after 1 AM at the Speedway near Cedar and Northrup. They were able to follow the man's movements inside the store with a live video feed from inside the Speedway.

The suspect was found hiding in the manager's office and arrested. He was taken to a local hospital for minor scrapes and bruises from running into the gas station through the broken glass.

Police were able to recover the money they say the suspect took.
