DETROIT (AP) -- Police say an 18-year-old woman is dead and three young men are wounded in a shooting in Detroit.
The shooting was reported around 11 p.m. Wednesday on the city's east side. Sgt. Eren Stephens says that the four were outside a home when a vehicle carrying several people drove up. She says a passenger got out and fired a high-powered weapon.
The Detroit News, WWJ-AM and WDIV-TV report the woman is identified as Aundrea Garland. Her mother Margaret Garland says of those responsible for the shooting that "you took my baby. My baby didn't deserve that."
Police say an 18-year-old man is in critical condition and two men ages 19 and 20 were listed in temporary serious condition.
Police are seeking tips from the public in the case.
