The number of power outages went down overnight, from 34,800 to 30,000 customers without power in the Lansing Board of Water & Light territory. 201,000 Consumers Energy customers are also without power.
BWL reports the number of downed power line reports has increased from 300 to more than 400, and are being prioritized for repair.
Residents are urged to stay 25 feet away from downed wires. Crews continue to work around the clock to restore power.
The BWL has engaged mutual aid agreements with other utilities to send crews to assist BWL repair crews. There is no estimate of full restoration of power at this time.
Consumers Energy customers can visit their website, www.consumersenergy.org, to receive a restoration estimate.
