Many were hoping for at least a discussion on finding a permanent solution to fixing Michigan's roads as the Senate met, Wednesday, but it never happened.

Senate Majority Leader Randy Richardville (R-Monroe) says a bi-partisan group of six senators will take up the issue in August. The group includes senators from across the state, including Senate Minority Leader Gretchen Whitmer (D-East Lansing).

Republicans and Democrats couldn't agree on a solution before leaving for summer break, last month, leaving many lawmakers frustrated.
